Dennis the Alligator in Production

Justin Barrett, Founder and President

Justin Barrett believes in the power of creativity to effect change and has created a business to make that happen.  More than the product, Justin finds joy in bringing people together to work with their natural talent.  Holy cow is a collaborative company and Justin is continually on the lookout for creative people with big ideas to help bring healthy clothing to the world.  Prior to starting Holy Cow, Justin enjoyed time at HSBC North America and with Fallon Worldwide in London and Minneapolis.  When not at Holy Cow Headquarters Justin loves oil painting and running the Minneapolis chain of lakes on sunny summer days.

Bold, Vibrant, Organic Spring

Big, bold, applique embroidery strike-offs for spring 2010.  We are in the middle of work with our factory in Pakistan to create the finished product.  Our signature bold, vibrant colors and hand-stitch appeal will be seen this season.

Labels for Healthy Clothing

Holy Cow tracking label

Over at Holy Cow Headquarters we are working on labeling of our garments.  What’s kind of cool is that every garment we make comes with a tracking code that allows our great customers to track the product all the way through the value chain.  This is important because we have made big efforts to make our production chain healthier for people and healthier for the planet.  The goal of Holy Cow tracking labels is to show the consumer why they should care.  What does organic cotton clothing really mean?  What is the difference between an organic cotton kids t-shirt and a conventionally grown cotton shirt?  Our environmental and social standard aims to produce a product with minimal impact on the planet.  Working with Whole Foods we will be promoting the message of healthy clothing. We have several new initiatives in the works so stay tuned.
