Holy Cow holds the highest environmental and social standards of any clothing company on the planet.  GOTS is the most comprehensive environmental and social standard to-datefor organic textiles.  The aim of these standards is to define requirements to ensure organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing, up to labeling in order to provide a credible assurance to the end consumer.

Sustainable Fabrics

  • 100% organic cotton
  • Pesticide-free and agrochemical free
  • No GMO or blending with non-organic cotton
  • Natural defoliants, compost, manure, crop rotation and beneficial insects utilized

Low-Impact Manufacturing

  • PVC-free and phthalate free
  • Low-impact dyes used
  • Natural raw materials only for spinning, sizing, weaving and knitting
  • Product must be transported to prevent contamination with prohibited substances and using PVC-free material

Socially Responsible Production

  • Working conditions are safe and hygienic
  • Sweatshop-free
  • Child labor must not be used
  • Wages and benefits must meet at a minimum, national legal standard or industry benchmark standard, whichever is higher
