Justin Barrett believes in the power of creativity to effect change and has created a business to make that happen. More than the product, Justin finds joy in bringing people together to work with their natural talent. Holy cow is a collaborative company and Justin is continually on the lookout for creative people with big ideas to help bring healthy clothing to the world. Prior to starting Holy Cow, Justin enjoyed time at HSBC North America and with Fallon Worldwide in London and Minneapolis. When not at Holy Cow Headquarters Justin loves oil painting and running the Minneapolis chain of lakes on sunny summer days.

Designer Sydney Ilten for Holy Cow

This year we are taking sample production to another level at Holy Cow Headquarters with the help of Minneapolis designer Sydney Ilten. For this Fall Sydney is helping produce Larry the Moose, Missy the Squirrel, Lola the Bear among others. Sydney is a premier designer and we are lucky to have her eye for detail and big thinking in production. You will find photos from Sydney’s recent runway show at her blog here. Sydney has traveled Europe pursuing her passion for design and continues to do great things here in Minneapolis. We are lucky to have her help for this coming fall!
Please meet Connie Milan (She Makes Things Happen)

We would like to introduce you to Connie Milan, Holy Cow Associate in Business Development. Connie is a super-star multi-tasker and really can do it all. If she doesn’t know how she will figure it out. Connie works across the board from concept, design and sample production to sales and factory and retail logistics. In the long term Connie aims to specialize in merchandising but for now she is enjoying a wide-angle lens view of organic clothing production. We are very lucky to have Connie and her eye for detail and perfection. In design and production, Connie works very closely with Sandy and our designers. As we get closer to a finished product, Connie helps our retailers get product shipped in quality condition and on time. Connie graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Communications. Go Gophers.
Designer Bill Ferenc Brings Characters to Life for Holy Cow

You will see several animal characters coming to life at Holy Cow Headquarters. These characters each come with their own identity and special attention to detail. Thanks to designer Bill Ferenc, these designs are taking on a whole new appeal and coming to life. Beginning with Spring 2010, Bill created Amy the Elephant, Tracy the Tree Frog, Joy the Monkey, Karyn the Toucan, Bobby the Tiger, and Dennis the Alligator. For Fall, Bill developed Lola the Bear, Missy the Squirrel, Larry the Moose, and several more to follow. Bill helps Holy Cow define the identity of these characters through special attention to detail. Once Bill has set design in motion, Sandy and Connie work with our factory in production. Say hello to VP Product Development, Sandy Swan

In the coming months you will see a colorful group of characters and garments designed with a certain cohesive appeal. That’s the work of our amazing lead in product development and design, Sandy Swan. Prior to joining the cow-munity Sandy was founder of A Head of Her Time, a couture bridal and retail costume company. Sandy has over twenty years design experience with a specialty in children’s wear. She spent six years in design for OshKosh B’Gosh and has designed freelance for DKNY. Sandy received her BS in Clothing, Textiles from UW Stout and The American College of Fashion in London. She received her MS in Global Textile Marketing through a combined venture from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science, Shenkar College of Textile Technology and Fashion in Ramat Gan, Israel, and the Reutlingen School of Business in Reutlingen, Germany. She earned her Milinery Certificate from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. Her favorite escape and source of inspiration comes from her backyard, where she gets grounded in her vegetable garden.
Introducing Chris Gould, Holy Cow CTO and Overall Great Guy

The site is continuing to grow and on Earth Day, April 22, you will be able to purchase direct from the site. Chris is the man behind the scenes at Holy Cow Headquarters making it happen. Chris Gould, from Chris Gould Consulting, has a great, proven background in SEO and overall internet marketing . Chris knows what it takes to drive traffic and increase sales and we are thrilled to have Chris on the team at Holy Cow as CTO.
