Happy Thanksgiving!

It’s a good time of year to be a cow.

Holy Cow Goes to San Francisco!

Hey! Thanks to all of our very green friends in San Francisco for stopping by the Holy Cow booth and sharing the weekend with us at the San Fran Green Festival, America’s Largest Sustainability Event.  Over the weekend we were able to share Holy Cow organic clothing with over 120,000 visitors to the show.  We’re coming to a city near you.  Check the Green Festival website for the next party close to you.

This was the scene Saturday and Sunday.

Spencer and Emily take a break from the show to enjoy the ride.

Holy Cow heads to the land of Cable Cars!

Hello, San Francisco!

Hello, San Francisco!

Looking for something to do this weekend? Why not come on over to the 7th Annual Green Festival on November 14, 15, & 16, 2008 at the San Francisco Concourse Exhibition Center and the Giftcenter Pavilion Theater. The event is a joint project of Global Exchange and Co-op America, two leading non-profits who have dedicated their energies to environmental and social justice for over 25 years.

Bring the kids, bring your friends – learn all about one of the biggest topics of discussion in the election – clean energy production in all its many forms!

We’ll be there with cowbells on, ringing the praises of organic cotton clothing for everyone! There’s so much to do, including a fashion show featuring Holy Cow organic apparel – MOO-RAY!

Here’s a little more info, courtesy of the Green Team at the San Francisco Green Festival:

Is Your T-Shirt Poisoning the Planet?

You probably didn’t know it but the t-shirt you’re wearing right now likely took a devastating toll on the environment.

To create one t-shirt made from conventionally grown cotton, 1/3 pound of agrochemicals is poured into the Earth.  It may also have been created in a sweatshop with subpar working conditions and printed with PVC (nasty plastic) based inks.  Feeling guilty?  Well, you can’t change if you don’t know, and now you know.  Just think about it the next time you’re ready to buy clothing and make an easy choice to help change our planet.  Holy Cow clothing is sweatshop free, printed with water-based inks and keeps these nasty chemicals out of our planet and out of your clothing.  Cheers to that!

Global Thinking.

One of the new products we’re working on is the organic Think Globally hat. Through our partnership with 1% For The Planet, a portion of sales from this hat is going to environmentally driven nonprofit partners all around the world. To create this custom cap, and all of our other products, it takes an incredible effort from our partners all across the globe.

We came across this clip which is an amazing example of global thinking. Think about all of the logistics and coordination it would take to pull this off. They are all in rhythm and at a compatible key. It’s fairly amazing.
